Hi Guys! I hope you all are doing good..
Today I am going to review Nivea After Shave Balm with you all. This balm has been my best friend for the longest time ever and I thought it was really really important to review it so that you guys could know how you could use it and what it actually does to your skin..
Well, I know that it is meant for “men” but who’s going to keep a check on you or question you, right? Although it is a balm meant to use post shaving but I use it as a primer or to soothe my skin whenever there is any inflammation or itching.
If you are interested in knowing why, when and how I use it on my oily, acne prone, sensitive and problematic skin, then please keep on reading this post till the end.. Also, don’t forget to let me know if you want me to review any other product by Nivea. I would love to do it for you..
The extra gentle and alcohol-free formula contains soothing and healing ingredients like Chamomile, Vitamin E and Provitamin B5 that help care for sensitive, just shaved skin. It is quickly absorbed into the skin and leaves it feeling soothed and moisturised.
*Instantly soothes irritation
*Enhances skin’s condition over time

This after shave balm comes in an outer cardboard box and is stored in a white colored, ceramic bottle with a white, plastic screw cap.
The packaging is prone to breakage and could have been much better. I would highly appreciate it if the packaging had a pump or something of that sort to keep everything convenient and hygienic.
Smell: Mild, pleasant, floral
Texture and Consistency: This white colored lotion has a very smooth texture and a runny consistency.
My skin, as most of you would know by now, is highly problematic and only a few things work on me as claimed. This after shave balm has been my holy grail ever since I made my first purchase and I don’t even remember properly how many bottles I have bought till now.
Starting off with the texture and consistency, I’d say I love it because my oily skin cannot bear any thing heavy. This lotion gets quickly absorbed into the skin, does not feel heavy or greasy at all and does not clog my pores. It does not irritate my skin in any way and sinks into the layers within seconds.
It has a very mild scent to it which I love and it goes away within a few minutes, so it is not at all a problem for sensitive noses like me. I just don’t like it’s packaging but I can ignore it completely due to the way it performs on me. It feels refreshing when applied and the skin does not feel dry or flaky after using it.
Whenever I shave or wax, this lotion has to be there with me. It soothes the skin, calms down irritation, if any, and vanishes the itching caused by nicks and cuts. Because it is alcohol free, it also does not sting the skin at all. I honestly felt a huge difference in my waxing/shaving/epilating experience ever since I started using it because it keeps all sorts of problems away.
I have oily skin, but I make sure to moisturize it on a regular basis but I also cannot tolerate heavy moisturizers. This is a water based lotion and acts as a a mild moisturizer as per my skin type. Obviously people with excessively dry skin cannot consider it as a moisturizer and it doesn’t claim to be so either but for people having skin type like me, it does this job as well.
It makes the skin healthy, soft, nourished and hydrated for atleast eight to ten hours. Now comes the part I use it for (the most),”PRIMING” my face before applying makeup. When I first saw it in a YouTube video that you could use Nivea Men Sensitive After Shave Balm as a makeup primer, honestly I did not believe it but I thought to give it a try.
I also love its price point and the fact that it is easily available. When I applied it before doing my makeup for the first time, I was surprised by the way it made my skin look, added an inner glow to it and how my makeup remained. I usually get acne whenever I apply makeup without a primer but this lotion keeps everything good for me.
It does not hide open facial pores because it is not meant for doing so but it helps keep the makeup in place very well and prevents makeup allergies very effectively. I love how energizing it feels to apply it every morning on the skin and sniff that natural floral fragrance in.
Pros of Nivea Men Sensitive After Shave Balm:

*Doesn’t clog pores
*Doesn’t feel heavy or greasy

Will I repurchase it?
As I already said, I have bought a lot of bottles in the past and would continue to repurchase it over and over again because this is an amazing, multipurpose lotion.
Will I recommend it?
Yes. Honestly speaking, I would recommend anything that is by Nivea before even using it because I am so assured of its quality, pricing and everything. As for this product, I am totally sold out. I love this bad boy so much and would highly highly recommend you to give it a try.
Is it worth the money?

My Ratings: 4.8/5
