Review: Swiss Beauty High Coverage Waterproof Base Foundation | Shade 05 – Medium Beige

Hi Guys! I hope you all are doing good…

Today I am going to review Swiss Beauty High Coverage Waterproof Base Foundation in the shade 05 with you all. This shade is made for most of the wheatish Indian skin tones and although I have a fair skin tone, these days I am tanned and 05 (medium beige) suits me pretty well.

My sister has reviewed it in shade 04, so if you are looking for a lighter shade, don’t forget to check it out. I use 04 when my skin is not tanned, so 04 and 05 can be a hard choice for you. Both of these shades are pretty close to each other and you must make a choice keeping in mind how is your skin doing at the moment.

If you are interested in knowing how this product works for me, is it worth buying, what coverage it has, what was my overall experience after using it and will I recommend you to try it or not, then please keep on reading this post till the end…

Packaging:

This foundation comes in a golden outer cardboard box which my mom threw by mistake. It comes in a see-through, cylindrical glass bottle with a golden rim and white, plastic dispenser pump for easier and hygienic dispensing. It has a transparent, fibre plastic, air tight cap on top to keep it away from any sort of mess.

Smell:

Very mild, floral

Texture and Consistency:

This foundation has one of the best textures I have experienced so far because it is very creamy, rich and easy to work with. It also has a light to medium consistency and spreads very easily on the skin.

My Thoughts on Shade 05 – Medium Beige:

This shade is a perfect shade for most of the wheatish Indian skin tones as it is neither too dark nor too light. It is decently pigmented and the actual color shows up in a single swipe.

My Experience with Swiss Beauty High Coverage Waterproof Base Foundation:

This review is based upon my oily, acne prone, sensitive and problematic skin. Ever since I started using L’Oreal Infallible Foundation, I got so used to its high coverage and felt like I will never be able to look at any other foundation because I love it.

Now that I finished it off, I decided to explore a new foundation for daily use that is not too full coverage and can be worn off to daily events, meetings, college etc. I went to my nearest local beauty store and finally decided to buy the Swiss Beauty High Coverage Waterproof Base Foundation after reading its claims and listening the salesman’s list of wonders it can do.

As I got back, I thought it would just be an average foundation and maybe would not be used by me enough as I don’t use foundations to any event if I don’t like their formulation or coverage. Now starting off with my first impressions, I must say I like it as pump packaging is really hygienic and looks great.

I dot this foundation all over my face after using Nivea Men Sensitive After Shave Balm as my primer. Then, I blend it with a damped beauty sponge. To my surprise, this foundation has a medium coverage and hides most of my acne spots.

Secondly, it has a very light and creamy texture which makes it easy to blend and comfortable to wear. Further, it does not irritate my skin at all and doesn’t feel heavy or cakey. This foundation provides a very natural finish when I use a little product and hides most of my acne scars. However, when I want some extra coverage, I use a little more quantity or put on another layer of it on my face.

It does not look heavy or cakey in the second layer as well. Thus, it gives an amazing, flawless, dewy and full coverage. It also hides all my scars, spots and pigmentation in the second go without looking bad at all. Furthermore, I love how it sits on my skin for at least four hours and then it starts wearing off from my t-zone area which I can totally expect.

It also gives a silky smooth, dewy finish to my makeup and provides medium to full coverage. However, I haven’t tried using it with a brush, so I can’t really comment on that. I actually love my beauty sponge and don’t try anything else for applying my foundation.

This foundation also does not look patchy. It does not have SPF in it, therefore, it does not leave a ghost face flashback whenever I am under flash photography. Furthermore, it oxidizes a very little bit but does not look horrible or too dark on me. Most importantly, it leaves the same look with almost all compact powders and does not melt while I’m sweating on my face.

Pros of Swiss Beauty High Coverage Waterproof Base Foundation:

*Doesn’t look cakey or patchy
*Doesn’t oxidize much
*Leaves a beautiful, dewy finish behind
*Has medium to high coverage
*Water and sweat proof
*Hygienic pump packaging
*Very easily available
*Inexpensive
*Lightweight formulation
*Stays for a quite long time
*Gorgeously pigmented

Cons of Swiss Beauty High Coverage Waterproof Base Foundation:

*Ingredients list not mentioned on the packaging
*MRP not mentioned

Will I repurchase it?

Yes. I love how this foundation works for me and would love to grab it again. However, I am upset by the fact that it doesn’t have an MRP due to which all sellers charge for it differently.

Will I recommend it?

Totally. If you are also looking for a promising foundation in a budget, this is a must try!

Is it worth the money?

Highly and even more than that. This foundation works more effectively than claimed and I totally find it worth the price.
