Hi Guys! I hope you all are doing well..

Today I am going to review another product from Nelf USA and as you know by the title, it is about their Miami Stick in Matte finish. I have got two shades in front of me – MS101 (Day Dreaming) & MS115 (Shy) which are two of my very favorite lip shades of all times.

These Miami Sticks come in eighteen beautiful shades which are suitable for all skin tones and would specially flatter Indian skin tones. As I always say, I love all finishes and colors in lipsticks.. I am not an “only-gloss” or “only-matte” person..

I like to play with all looks and colors.. There are some days when I like to go overboard with gloss or glitter and sometimes I like having very matte lips. I don’t judge a lipstick by it’s ability to mattify, but by it’s claims, staying power, look and moisturisation.

If you are interested in knowing how these lipsticks worked for me, then please keep on reading this review till the end. I have reviewed their Waterproof Kohl Kajal and Velvet Shine Lip Gloss, so don’t forget to check them out as well.

Instructions: Store in a cool place

Ingredients:

Cost: Rs. 175 for 3.8 g

Shelf Life: 36 months

Availability: Nykaa

Packaging: This product comes in a black cardboard box which has all necessary details mentioned on it..

The lipstick bullet is made up of black, matte-look, cylindrical plastic body with the same quality air tight cap and metallic, golden inner body. Nelf USA and product’s name from golden color is printed on two opposite sides of the cap.

The product’s shade number has been mentioned at the bottom.. The cap locks very properly making the lipstick sturdy and travel friendly. Overall, the packaging is not bad but it could have been better and more innovative or atleast color coded.

Texture: Very soft and creamy

My Thoughts on Shade MS101 (Day Dreaming):

Day Dreaming is a very bright, cheerful color which will look blandishing on almost all skin tones. This coral colored lipstick has warm undertones to it and looks exactly the same on the lips as on the lipstick bullet in a single swipe.

Lip Swatch: It looks quite same with and without flash…

My Thoughts on Shade MS115 (Shy):

Shy is a very pretty, nude purple-mauve color with cool undertones to it. This color would really suit people having fair to medium undertones. It looks slightly brown in first swipe but the exact mauve color shows up in two swipes, so there is always room for adjustment of shade as per your preference.

This is very good daily wear color for people who loves applying nude lipsticks. You can rock it in parties, events, office or trips!

Lip Swatch: The actual color looks more identical to the lip swatch without flash…

My Experience:

The texture, feel and overall look of these lipsticks is very identical to Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick and Dry Dreaming also matches quite a lot with Peach Crush from Colorbar. My lips are naturally very moisturised and hydrated.

These lipsticks are very creamy, smooth and moisturising. They glide on to the lips very smoothly and the color pays off in a single swipe. Their staying power which is for around three-four hours is also identical to Colorbar lipstick but they do not bleed like the latter.

These lipsticks leave a lightweight and rattling velvetty matte finish to the lips with no glaze or shimmer. They are comfortable to wear and don’t feel heavy at all.. All the shades in this range are very beautiful and suitable for mostly all complexions..

They blur out most of the fine lines on lips and look quite good. They do not smudge but transfer. They survive medium snacking but they’re not water proof. Once the lipstick is removed or gone, it leaves a beautiful tint on the lips behind and does not cause any dryness afterwards.

They look luxurious and rich on the lips without looking caky or fading from the centre. Their pigmentation is very high and one single swipe is a lot to go with, however I am a little extra and always go overboard when it comes to lipsticks and highlighters.

The texture is very comfortable and doesn’t accentuate into fine lines. They make the lips look nourished and are available at a much cheaper price than most of creamy matte lipsticks available.

What I love most about them is they do not feel rough while application because I hate such lipsticks which literally feel abrsaive because the color is not paying off. I think even dry lips would look nourished and smooth when you put these lipsticks onand wouldn’t need a lip balm underneath.

Pros of Nelf USA The Miami Matte Stick:

*Inexpensive
*Wide range to choose from
*Ingredients list mentioned
*Richly pigmented
*Lead free
*Glides on to the lips very smoothly
*Stays upto 4-5 hours
*Value for money
*Good for daily use
*Sturdy packaging
*Soft texture and gentle formula
*Doesn’t feel heavy on the lips

Cons of Nelf USA The Miami Matte Stick:

*Contains paraben
*Not water proof
*Not transfer proof
*Packaging could have been color coded

Will I purchase it?
Yes. I am upset that these lipsticks contain Paraben in them and we should avoid them as much as possible but I really really like how they look and stay on me. I’d like to get them for myself for short meetings and gatherings but would not really like to use it on a daily basis.

Will I recommend it?
If you are looking for a cheaper alternative of Colorbar and you’re okay with the fact that these lipsticks contain Parabens in them, you should go ahead and buy one for you.. You’d love it’s texture, pigmentation, finish and staying power.

Is it worth the money?
Yes. For just Rs. 175, these lipsticks have a really nice pigmentation, staying power, shade range and overall finish.

My Ratings: 4.5/5
