Hi Guys! I hope you’re doing good..

As I mentioned in my Lass Naturals Anti Aging Red Apple Soap review that I don’t use soaps a lot but whenever I use it, it has to be a gel based formulation. Gel bars are actually a lot better than usual soap bars because they strip less moisture out of the skin and keeps it nourished. Today I am going to review one of the prettiest soaps I have ever seen..

Few days ago, Curie sent me three soaps from their range out of which one I am going to review today. It is their Rose Water Elixir Soap which is so gorgeous and does not look like a soap at all. A product that looks beautiful doesn’t matter if it does not work as claimed.

I had very high expectations from this particular soap, so if you want to know how it worked for me, then please keep on reading this post till the end. Also, I’d like to mention that the pros and cons of this product will only be judged on the basis of its performance and other important factors. I will not review it on basis of the fact that soaps harbour bacteria because that is what all soaps basically do.

Product Description: Rose Water has been revered for centuries and used by royalties because it’s an Elixir for skin and remarkably versatile. Soap is enriched with real rose water which help maintain skin pH, control excess oil and helps to get rid of acne. The soap has heavenly rose scent to give you a refreshing bath. This soap is specially handcrafted in rose shape with glycerin based soap to give you a sparkling glow..

Claims:

*100% Natural
*Handmade
*Not tested on animals

Cost: Rs. 150 for 100 gm

Availability: Curie India

Shelf Life: 12 months

Ingredients: Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, Glycerine, Stearic Acid, Propylene Glycol, Rose Water, Aqua, Perfume, Permitted Water

Packaging: This soap comes in a eco friendly, cardboard box which has the brand’s logo at the top and other important details mentioned at the bottom. The box has a nice quality and once you unbox it, the soap is carefully kept inside it.

The quality and size of the box is quite good and the soap fits inside properly. The soap is cling wrapped and a little product description is mentioned at the bottom..

The soap as you can see looks exactly like rose and has a gel based formulation.

Smell: Mild, pleasant smell of Rose

My Experience: This review is based upon my oily, acne prone and sensitive skin. As it is a rose water soap, it has to have a rose smell and looks so beautiful just like a rose.. It forms a quite good foaming lather and once you incorporate it into your wet loofah, it turns into a very rich and creamy lather just like the Pond’s White Beauty Daily Spot Less Lightening Facial Foam..

I feel very refreshed when I take a shower or wash my face with it because its smell is so pleasant. My mother hates soaps which have a strong scent because no matter how much ventilation your bathroom has, it gets suffocated after a steamy bath and the smell really gets overpowering.

The soap looks very very pretty but it dissolves quickly and after a few uses, it comes back to a normal, oval shape just like all soaps do.. Well, I don’t mind its shape to be changed because it is an obvious fact.. The quality of this soap is really really good and does not irritate my sensitive skin at all..

It does not cause any pimples or breakouts on my skin. Also it does not irritate my tender nose at all and the formulation is not at all harsh. It doesn’t strip the natural oils of my skin and keeps it nourished instead.. It makes my skin very soft, smooth and radiant. After washing my face, I can definitely see a much brighter and cleaner face as it gets rid of all the dead and dull skin.

The brightening effect is temporary because the skin gets back to its normal texture obviously but it definitely removes the dead skin layer. On regular usage, it does make the skin cleaner, softer and more even toned. Since it has rose water in it, the skin continues to feel soft for a much longer time. It also control excess oil which is another thing I love about it..

Pros of Curie Rose Water Elixir Soap:

*Looks very pretty
*Mild, pleasant smell of rose
*Ingredients list mentioned

*Doesn’t make skin dry
*Doesn’t irritate the skin

Cons of Curie Rose Water Elixir Soap:

Will I repurchase it?
Yes. First of all, I love how this soap looks like. I also like its fragrance, packaging, formulation and result.. It suits my acne prone skin quite well. It neither irritates my existing acne nor leads to more breakouts. It is a gentle soap perfect to be used on a daily basis.

Will I recommend it?
Yes. Since this soap works just as claimed without being harsh on the skin and cherry on the top is that it is so pretty, I will definitely recommend you to try it…

Is it worth the price?
Yes. Since it works just as claimed and feels so good on the skin, it is fully worth the price according to me..

My Ratings: 5/5

Final Verdict: Overall, it is a very refreshing soap with power of glycerin, oils and rose water. It is very friendly towards the skin and does not make it unhappy in any way. I like the fragrance and packaging a lot and I think it is a great gifting option as well.. If you love rose water for its benefits, you should try this one..

  1. I like the rose pattern of this soap and I also like that this smells like roses. The glycerin soap reminds me of Pears soap. 🙂
