Hi Guys! I hope you’re doing good…

This review is based upon my thin-fine, straight, silky hair with an oily scalp. I am quite happy and thankful to God for my hair except for the fact that they lack volume but I occasionally get dandruff once in a year. No shame, we all have been there because of weather changes and a lot of other reasons.. I feel like I am quite lucky that whenever I am suffering from a particular problem, I receive a product for help. A big shoutout to all the brands which help me miraculously without even knowing how hard I need their products at that particular point of time.

Richfeel was founded in 1986 by two Dr. Apoorva Shah and Dr. Sonal Shah, India’s first certified trichologists who are experts in the areas of hair, scalp and skin care. Trichology is the medical term for the study of the hair (and scalp) and all problems related to them, so a ‘trichologist’ is someone who specialises in hair loss problems such as baldness, hair breakage and itchy/flaking scalp..* They have highly specialized products that target very specific hair and scalp issues and their team is really consultive and supportive as they have skin care, hair care, scalp care and body care solutions for everyone.

This shampoo is enriched with the goodness of Arnica which rejuvenates the scalp, stimulates hair follicles, strengthen the hair, prevents hair fall and prmotes hair growth. By removing dirt, debris and oil from the scalp, it also helps combat dandruff and itchiness. *

Shelf Life: 3 years

Availability: Snapdeal (100 ml), Purplle (500 ml), Amazon (500 ml), Nykaa (500 ml), Flipkart (100 ml), Richfeel Original Website

Packaging: The packaging of this shampoo is very basic and nothing too fancy. It comes in a semi-transparent green colored, plastic bottle with a tight, flip cap which can be unscrewed as well. The semi-transparent bottle is very convenient as it helps me know how much product is left..

What I love about its packaging is that it has an inner airtight plug which makes the bottle very travel friendly and leak proof. The ingredients list and other important details are mentioned at the back.

Smell: Subtly sweet (Identical to Chikoo or Mudapples)

Texture and Consistency: This shampoo is exactly identical to Clinic Plus in terms of its color, texture and consistency.

My Experience: Honestly speaking I was disheartened when I read the ingredients list of this product because it has SLES in it. I wouldn’t say that I don’t use SLES shampoos on my hair but I had expected this shampoo to be completely cruelty free because it is made by India’s top trichologists and is all about hair care and good stuff. Sulfate-free shampoos are milder as they don’t strip the natural oils out of the scalp. This shampoo is meant for all hair types so if you have dry hair, it will leave your hair moisturised and if you have greasy hair, it will remove the oil and build up out of your hair..

Since monsoon have just passed by, I am left with an itchy scalp and dandruff.. (We all have been there) I start with a thorough rinse in cold water and take a coin sized amount of shampoo on my palm. Then I shampoo my roots and lather it up by slowly and gently incorporating it with my wet hair. Once my hair has enough lather, I wait for around two minutes or even less and squeeze out the water from the roots to the ends. Then I rinse with cold water until all the shampoo is fully washed off.

As this shampoo is non-allergenic, does not harm or irritate my itchy and sensitive scalp and treats it instead. It works quite effectively in treating and preventing dandruff. It acts as a really good hair cleanser and removes all kind of build up, treats and prevents dandruff but makes hair a little bit dry. I somehow feel that due to either SLES or the fact that anti-dandruff shampoos are a little damaging, this formula is quite on a dry side. I think people with dry or frizzy hair would expect the formula to be more nourishing.

Although it doesn’t make hair extremely moisturised or soft but breaks off all the build up on the scalp and leaves it squeaky clean. I wash my hair twice a week but use it once and I must say it works astoundingly in preventing hair fall in addition to treating dandruff issues.

Will I repurchase it?
Yes. I am really assured by the results which show up after first wash and will repurchase it whenever I have dandruff issue again. I don’t feel like using an anti-dandruff shampoo on a regular basis but this one is going to be my first choice whenever I need to treat any scalp infections or get rid of dandruff.

Will I recommend it?
Yes. If you are also suffering from dandruff and other hair issues, definitely try this shampoo. It works really well in doing what it claims.

Is it worth the money?
Yes, completely.. Anything that works just as claimed without leaving no harsh side effects is definitely worth the money for me.

My Ratings: 4/5

Final Verdict: This is a really nice shampoo if you are facing any hair problems, especially dandruff and what makes it even nicer is the fact that it is meant for all kinds of hair. The sweet smell is not overpowering and the shampoo acts as a great hair cleanser too. It is completely a “value for money” product for me but may be a little bit dry for people having dry or frizzy hair, so I will recommend using Richfeel conditioner with it. It has a mild formula that does not irritate the scalp at all and balances the natural oils leading to more hair growth. Nonetheless, I would definitely recommend this product to everyone because it is an all in one solution..

Hope, this schampoo will help me with my dandruff problem.
Can you aso recommend some flat-irons, which can suit good to this schampoo?

    1. Its my pleasure Katharina.. Thank you for stopping by..

I am sorry but I cannot help you with flat irons because I don’t use them since my hair are naturally very straight… Secondly I think what’s available to me here in India may not be available to you.. πŸ™
