Hi Guys!! I hope you are doing good..
If you have ready my review about Anatomicals Coconut and Mango Body Lotion, Avon Nutra Effects Active Seed Complex Hydration Daily Cream and Lass Naturals Kewra Mint Body Lotion, you would already know how highly I stress on keeping the skin moisturised no matter how oily it is.. Oily skin actually needs to be properly moisturised in order to balance its oil secretion and remove the excessive production of sebum.. Moisturisers, if chosen wisely can actually treat and prevent oiliness and acne by improving the skin’s hydration and increasing the water content..
Today I am going to review Nyassa Divine Lotus Body Lotion for you all which I received in my August 2017 My Envy Box.. This body lotion is enriched with Avocado oil which is one of my personal favorite key ingredients of a skincare product.. Let me know what is your favorite key ingredient in a skincare product by commenting below.. I am reviewing this body lotion via its 35 ml sample.. Please keep on reading this post till the end to find out the full sized product’s cost, my experience, pros, cons and everything about it…

Cost: Rs. 105 for 35 ml (Sample Sized);
Rs. 425 for 145 ml (Full Sized)
Shelf Life: 18 months from the date of manufacturing
Packaging: Although the packaging of this body lotion’s full sized product is a convenient, pump type bottle, I am going to describe what the sample size looks like.. Anyways, you can have a look at the original packaging here..
This body lotion comes in a compact, light weight, transparent plastic bottle with a golden colored, fibre plastic screw cap. The bottle has an airtight plug inside which keeps the product from getting spilled and thus makes it travel friendly. I find it difficult to remove it always, so I have made a little perforation at the inner plug to squeeze the product out and it is just working fine for me.
The transparent bottle makes it convenient to keep a check on the quantity of product left.. The overall packaging looks fine but I would have appreciated more if it had a flip cap and that kind of snout..
Smell: Floral, strong, overpowering
My Experience: My experience and review about this body lotion is based upon my oily, acne prone and sensitive skin. The consistency of this lotion is not at all heavy or thick which is much liked by me. I take a coin sized amount in between my fingers, rub them against each other so that the ingredients are activated with the heat of my body temperature and dot it all over my face with my fingertips. It spreads on the skin effortlessly, absorbs quickly within seconds and does not feel heavy or greasy at all..
What disappoints me the most is its overpowering floral smell which I, having a sensitive nose cannot tolerate. The floral fragrance is actually very strong and trust me when I say this, it smells exactly identical to “Hit” mosquito repellent. When I applied it for the very first time, my mom asked me where did “Hit” come from in the house.. *Chuckles*
It gives my skin the required nourishment and moisture and keeps it soft, healthy and hydrated. It does not feel sticky at all and doesn’t clog the pores. It has a good moisturisation property which is good for all skin types.. I am impressed by its ingredients list, texture and feel. I apply it at night and wake up with nourished and soft skin in the morning but its smell is the only thing which resists me to pick it up bluntly every single day.
Pros of Nyassa Divine Lotus Body Lotion:
*Friendly towards sensitive skin
*Light weight, non greasy
*Doesn’t irritate the skin
*Makes it soft and smooth
*Little amount of product required
*Convenient pump packaging (Full sized product)
Cons of Nyassa Divine Lotus Body Lotion:
*Quite strong fragrance which may be an issue to sensitive noses
*Pricey than other body lotions in the market
*Little quantity offered
Will I repurchase it?
No. It moisturises the skin well but has nothing too good to be true. It does not have any such amazing or wow-factor in it which I think is enough to let me decide whether I want to buy it again or not. Also, it does not add a glow to the skin, doesn’t make it even toned or younger looking as claimed..
Will I recommend it?
Not really because I think this lotion is quite pricey as per its quantity and the quality is not something you cannot find on Earth. If you want to go for it, it will work and if you can tolerate its smell and moisturise the skin. But if you find it pricey and are confused, I’d suggest to invest in some other moisturising body lotion and not this one.
Is it worth the price?
Yes and No, both. It isn’t very disappointing in terms of its moisturisation but its smell and quantity makes me little unsure with this question. If I had to give a final answer, I would say No because I am not extremely happy with my experience with product.
My Ratings: 3/5
Final Verdict: Overall, the formula is gentle, the texture is nice, the feel is fine, moisturising level is normal and doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin at all but I somehow feel that the moisturisation and quantity is not extremely satisfying for the price charged..
I always refrain from using it just for the fact that I have an extremely sensitive nose and get allergic cold with its smell. I use a lot of products which have strong scent but I ignore the scent if I love the product but this one is just fine and not something I extremely love.
